Product Introduction:

500 micron Pond Liner is a thin film geosynthetic material made by processing high molecular weight polymers (such as polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride) or their blends through extrusion, rolling and other processes. It differs from the "filtering and drainage" function of geotextiles in that its core value lies in actively blocking medium migration. It can be divided into two categories: "smooth surface geotextile membrane" and "rough surface geotextile membrane". The former focuses on anti-seepage, while the latter increases the friction coefficient and is suitable for sliding scenarios such as slopes.

The core quality indicators include permeability coefficient (usually required to be ≤ 1 × 10 ⁻¹¹ cm/s), tensile strength (≥ 10MPa), and elongation at break (≥ 400%), which directly determine the anti-seepage effect and service life of the project.

Main Features

1. Anti leakage performance: The ultimate barrier molecular structure is tightly packed without pores, and its barrier performance against media such as water, organic solvents, and acid-base solutions far exceeds that of traditional clay anti-seepage layers. Taking high-density polyethylene (HDPE) geomembrane as an example, its permeability coefficient is only 1 × 10 ⁻¹³ cm/s, equivalent to a 1-meter-thick geomembrane, and its anti-seepage effect is equivalent to a 50 meter thick clay layer.

2. Physical and mechanical properties: stable and resistant to manufacturing

Tensile and tear resistance: Under external forces such as soil settlement and construction compaction, it can absorb stress through its own deformation and is not easily broken;

Weather resistance: After adding antioxidants and UV stabilizers, it can be used for a long time in an environment ranging from -40 ℃ to 60 ℃, avoiding high temperature aging or low temperature brittleness;

Corrosion resistance: It has good tolerance to strong acids (pH ≥ 2), strong alkalis (pH ≤ 12), and common industrial chemicals (such as salt solutions and detergents).

3. Construction and adaptability: flexible and efficient

Lightweight (HDPE geomembrane weighs about 0.8-1.5kg per square meter), easy to transport and lay, and can be operated by a single person;

Good flexibility, bendable and foldable, able to closely fit uneven terrain (such as dam slopes, irregular foundations of landfills);

The splicing technology is mature, and the weld strength can reach more than 80% of the base material through hot welding, hot melt welding or special adhesive connection, avoiding leakage at the splicing point.

4. Environmental Protection and Durability: Long term Reliability

Geomembranes that meet national environmental standards (such as food grade HDPE membranes) do not release harmful substances such as formaldehyde and heavy metals, and can be used in scenarios such as drinking water tanks and aquaculture ponds;

Under normal working conditions, the service life can reach 30-50 years, and there is no need for frequent maintenance in the later stage. Only regular inspections of welds and surfaces are required to check for damage.

1. Water conservancy and hydropower engineering

Reservoirs and artificial lakes: Laying geomembranes at the bottom and slopes of the reservoir area to prevent water leakage underground, especially suitable for areas with poor geological conditions (such as sandy soil layers), can reduce water resource loss rates to below 1%.

Irrigation channel: replacing traditional concrete or clay lining, reducing leakage losses during channel water delivery, with a water-saving rate of up to 30% -50%, while reducing channel maintenance costs.

Dam anti-seepage: Laying geomembranes on the upstream face of the dam or inside the dam body to block the infiltration of floods or reservoir water into the dam body, avoiding dangerous situations such as landslides and pipe surges caused by the rise of the seepage line of the dam body.

2. Environmental engineering

Landfill site: This is one of the most critical application scenarios. The composite anti-seepage structure of "geomembrane+geotextile+bentonite waterproof blanket" is adopted and laid at the bottom and periphery of the landfill site to completely isolate the leachate from the soil and groundwater, preventing heavy metal and harmful organic matter from polluting the groundwater.
